My name is Cathy and I live in Liverpool, NY. I am a born-again Christian accepting the Lord as my Savior in 1980. After studying with two cults (and subsequently joining one), the Lord still had plans for me and my family. I remember the day I got saved so clearly. A dear pastor came to our house one evening and led me down Roman's Road right at the dining room table. I recall saying "wow" over and over. My husband Gary got saved a couple months after me at a Word of Life Basketball rally, where he was asked to coach. Little did he suspect when he first got to the game that the preaching was going to reach his heart. When the invitation was called, he found himself among quite a few teenagers. Serving the Lord is our lifelong quest. He has been so good to me and my family!
Gary and I have been married for 29 years and are looking forward to our 30th anniversary celebration. We are planning a trip to Louisville, KY to attend the National Quartet Convention in September 2003. Lord willing it will be a wonderful time. Together, we both serve the Lord in our local fundamental independent church, Buckley Road Baptist Church.
Our two children, a son and daughter, are now married (seven weeks apart in last year -- one stressful year, let me tell you). They are all graduates of Baptist Bible College East in Boston, MA, and are serving the Lord in their churches. I am so looking forward to the "nana" years.
I love gardening, my English Springer Spaniel named "Bonnie," my two birds, a canary named "Mister Birdie" and a recent addition of "Baby" a sweet cockatiel. He's so funny learning how to do recognizable whistles.
Well, enough of this little bio -- hey, I'm just trying to fill up a little space to see how it looks. My ultimate goal is to design a web page for our church's ladies missionary outreach on the church's website.
